Privacy policy
This explains what we collect when you join the Bola early access list, why, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
Bola (BolaOS) is run by Robin Cunningham, who is the data controller for the information described here. Formal company registration is in progress, and a postal address will be added here once it's complete.

What we collect
When you join the early access list:
- your email address
- your club's name, if you choose to give it
- when you signed up
Like any website, our hosting provider also keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site secure and working. This site doesn't use analytics or tracking.
How we use it
We use your email only to tell you when Bola opens to clubs. We do this because you asked us to (your consent, UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw that at any time by emailing us, and we'll delete your details.
We never sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They only process data on our instructions:
- Vercel Inc.: website hosting.
- Supabase Inc.: the database that stores the early access list.
- Google: the page's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when the page loads.
These are US-based companies. Where your information is handled outside the UK, it's protected by legal safeguards approved for UK data, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for up to 12 months from when you sign up, and then delete them automatically. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
Cookies
This site doesn't set any cookies, so there's no cookie banner.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your information
- stop or limit how we use it
- send your information to you or someone else in a common format
Email admin@bolaos.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. There's no charge.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please get in touch with us too.
Children
The early access list is for adults who run or help run sports clubs. It isn't intended for children, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if anything changes, and the date at the top will show when it was last revised.
